GUIDED TOURS ON THE ENGINES: On 5 of the 6 levels.

If you would like to understand how the engine works, we would like to try to explain. In addition, we hope to sell you some booklets in the process!

The tour takes about one hour to do properly and our volunteer guides will be happy to take you round each of 5 levels of the engine, explaining and answering as you go round. Please ask someone wearing a white boiler suit if you would like to join a small group of up to about 8 people per guide.

The tour is too risky for children who are less than 1.4 m (56 in) talll ; we are sorry about this, but we are adamant about it.

Please note that 4 of the levels could be oily and dirty. We hope you have a 'head for heights'.
