September 23-24 The Kempton Classic Car & Bike Show (Sunday only) and Sculpture by Nigel Williams See the Triple in steam both days and some fascinating pieces of sculpture by Nigel Williams, who specialises in working with mostly recycled metals. On Sunday only, we have the best car show in West London. See a huge range of magnificent cars, from big American sedans and supercars to pre-war sports tourers, plus a great display of classic motorcycles. October 21-22 The Marvels of Meccano A fabulous display of amazing things… all made from Meccano! Triple in steam both days.
November 18-19 Christmas at Kempton Your last chance to see the Triple in steam this year, plus stalls, great raffle prizes and lots of Christmas cake, mince pies, tinsel and festive fun!
The museum is open to the public every Tuesday and Thursday (except in December) for viewing only. The Triple will not be in steam, although volunteers will be on hand to answer questions and – where possible – give visitors a guided tour of the engine. Please note: children under 1.4 metres (56 inches) are not allowed on the engine tour for safety reasons.
Opening hours 10:30am to 4pm – if the gate signposted ‘Museum Entrance’ is closed, please press the button marked ‘Museum and Railway’ on the main gate to be let in.
Prices for weekday viewing Adults £5; concessions £4; under-16s free
The Triple will be in steam on the dates listed above (excluding London Open House on September 16-17 2017, when admission is free but no steaming).
Guided tours and talks Free guided tours of the unrestored Triple are available on steaming weekends. Children must be over 1.4 metres (56 inches) tall for safety reasons.
